PwC people are committed to helping improve the communities in which they live and work. Every year, hundreds of community projects around the world count on the participation of our people as volunteers, leaders, and facilitators. In response to the increasing number and growing diversity of local community projects that involve our people, PwC launched Global Communities.
Global Communities is founded on the conviction that PwC’s corporate mission goes beyond the imperatives of profit-making and is inseparable from the well-being of the communities in which we operate. A core principle guides our work: PwC is at its best when we bring the cumulative power of our global network to bear on complex problems—for our clients and our communities.
While Global Communities is involved in a wide range of community impact activities across PwC, we have two cause areas of particular focus: education and climate change. Over the last few years PwC has established a commendable track record in terms of the contributions it has made to these two areas. But with the help of Global Communities, we expect that PwC will do much more.
