VANCOUVER, January 25, 2006 — Over 400 CEOs and senior forest and paper industry executives, industry analysts, customers, suppliers and government policy makers are expected to convene in Vancouver, Canada on Thursday May 11, 2006 at PricewaterhouseCoopers’ (PwC) 19th Annual Global Forest and Paper Industry Conference.
“The global forest and paper industry is undergoing major structural changes, impacting almost everyone from the producer to the ultimate consumer,” said Bruce McIntyre, leader of PwC’s forest and paper practice in Canada, and co-chair of the 2006 conference. “Paper and lumber producers are faced with new opportunities and challenges such as low-cost production in China and Latin America, shifting product demand, aging mills in Europe and North America, and the need to maintain a financially and environmentally sustainable industry.
