The first-ever PwC global corporate responsibility dialogue,
Taking responsibility*, was released in May 2008 to coincide with the announcement of the winners of the
Global Communities Recognition Awards 2008. The dialogue outlines what corporate responsibility (CR) means to PwC and showcases some of the actions and initiatives our firms around the world are undertaking to make a positive impact on their communities.
In his opening letter, PwC CEO Sam DiPiazza writes, “This report is not a reflection on our corporate responsibility agenda or an exhaustive list of our achievements. Rather, it is the start of a dialogue that helps to explain why corporate responsibility is important to us and what we are doing about it. As you read this report you will see how committed our people are at PwC—not merely as participants, but in leading the way.”
Take a look at the report to learn more about:
- The four quadrants of CR (community, people, environment, marketplace) and what they mean to PwC
- Some of our CR actions across the PwC network
- The winners of the Global Communities Recognition Awards 2008
- Examples of community initiatives from around the world
